Château de la Rose 2016

About This Project

An interactive projection installation with 360 degrees projection system.

This work brings people, virtual nature and interior space together in a digital realm, creating a harmonic dialogue and interaction between them. In this work, the artist looks back on this period of time in his past. He uses the virtual motion graphics projected on the far side as a metaphor for the past. The actual stone wall ruin at the center represents the present. The viewer standing in front of it triggers the memory in the past, making the roses climb. This work entails a story about memories retrieved long after forgotten.

The roses in the motion image would climb the wall according to how long the viewer stands at the center. Therefore, the viewer acting as the main character can decide on the appearance of the image by him-/herself. Other viewers in the space can watch the interaction between the main character and the work as a third person.
